Essentially he argues that privatizing and deregulating all forms of infrastructure, particularly transportation systems, would be beneficial for Americans. I used this book in my research paper calling for the elimination of Amtrak and a new High Speed Rail system in the North East Corridor. I do think, however| ||"A half-century of economics research, much of it from Brookings, convincingly shows that deregulation of transportation services delivered enormous benefits. Last Exit argues persuasively that these benefits are limited by continuing public provision
