There were instructions at the end of the book for a handful of the basic leis, but no step by step or color pictures to go with it. The lei embodies the aloha spirit of the Hawaiian people. It means hospitality, love, peace, hello and farewell. Given in that spirit a lei can say good luck, congratulations, I love you, I honor you, thank you.
