I went ahead and bought it and am very glad I did. It is true that there is an absence of gold paint on the reproductions; but I believe that a layer of harsh glitter on top of works of art such as these would have detracted from their gentle beauty rather than enhanced|Language Notes|Text: English, Italian (translation)
